We left our home around 9 am and started our journey south and then west. We supercharged in Baltimore for 15 minutes. Along the way, we stopped at the Notaviva Farm Brewery & Winery for a little wine and cider tasting and decided on a semi-sweet white wine. We sat on a picnic bench overlooking a beautiful countryside and enjoyed our wine in Purcellville, VA.

Our next charging stop was in Winchester, VA for another fifteen minutes. We drove through town, and they had a beautiful area called Old Town. We decided that we wanted to spend time there, so we checked into a hotel and drove back to Old Town and spent a few hours walking the promenade.

We walked and enjoyed the scenery. We stopped at an Italian eatery and had a drink and ordered Iron Skillet Crab Dip with crab, cream cheese, panko, mozzarella and crostini. The meal was fabulous and the company was even better.
It was a terrific first day of our adventure. All we can hope now is that the government doesn’t shut down and all the national parks are closed. More to come.
