ART-15-5686
Taken on the Axel Carlson Artificial Reef off Bayhead, New Jersey, USA. Two Army M-60 tanks and twenty-four reef balls were sunk on this site. They were sponsored by the New York Sea Gypsies Diving Club. This is a good site for divers who want to see reef balls because you can grapple into the tanks and see the reef balls around the tanks. If a site contains only reef balls, it is very hard to grapple into. Dive boats should consider using a sand anchor on reef ball only sites.
